 Born

 Family

Paul’s parents are Jon and Fritzi Prather of Tulsa. 

Paul is married to Victoria Forbes of Tulsa. Victoria is the National Director of Real Estate for Leap Wireless Corporation.

Paul has one brother, Daniel Prather, who is a Certified Financial Planner at Merrill Lynch.  Daniel and his wife Ellen have a one-year-old son, who is a fifth-generation Tulsan.

Paul has one sister, Julia Folden, who lives in Phoenix, where she is a human resources manager for Wells Fargo.  Julia’s husband, John Folden, owns a small business.  Julia and John have two children: Dustin, 19, and Amy, 17.

Paul’s father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all called Tulsa home.

 Education

Paul is a product of Tulsa Public Schools, having attended Eliot Elementary, Edison Junior High and Edison Senior High, from which he graduated in 1983.

Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics from Tulane University in New Orleans, La., in 1987.  He then earned his Juris Doctor, graduating with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1990.

 Career

Paul spent the first three years of his legal career in private practice at the Tulsa law firm of Nichols, Wolfe, Stamper, Nally & Fallis in 1990.  He left private practice in 1993 for public service for the City of Tulsa, where he served for over seven years as Assistant City Attorney. In his role of Assistant City Attorney he was assigned as the chief counsel to the City Council, Board of Adjustment, Tulsa Municipal Utility Authority and Civil Service Commission.  In 2001, Paul joined the downtown Tulsa firm of Feldman, Franden, Woodard, Farris & Boudreaux.

 Community Service

In addition to his over seven years serving the City of Tulsa, Paul has been an active volunteer for various community organizations, including the March of Dimes, Meals on Wheels, United Way, and Special Olympics.  Paul was recently the Chairman of the Meals on Wheels Bountiful Harvest fundraiser, and is a past Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the March of Dimes Northeastern Oklahoma Division.
